BARTERING POSITIONS:
The bartering positions all count as a 3-hour work shift
and entitle you to the same benefits as working a volunteer
shift...and sometimes more. All bartering
positions require that you contact us at least two weeks prior to
the sale to confirm your assistance. Only one bartering position
may be done per sale.
Media
Connection
– Calling
all you marketing and advertising aficionados…to make sure that we
have more shoppers than ever at the sale, help us get our sale covered for free on TV, on the radio, in the newspaper,
in a magazine, or on the Internet. If you do set us up with a
media connection, you will receive reimbursement of your
consignor fees, in addition to, credit for a volunteer shift (which
means more money if you are a consignor). That also means you will
be getting into an earlier presale. If you are not consigning
with us this time, you will be eligible to get into one of our
presales.
Fundraiser Connection -
Get us connected
with a school, club, church/temple/synagogue, non-profit
organization, etc. to participate in our fundraising program. If you
refer an organization who conducts a fundraiser with us,
you will get $5 of your consignor fees reimbursed, in addition to,
credit for a volunteer shift (which means more money if you are a
consignor). That also means you will be getting into an earlier
presale. If you are not consigning, you will be eligible
to get into one of our presales. In order to receive this
incentive, the organization must indicate that you referred them
prior to our sale dates.
Flyer Distribution
– As I
am sure you realize, nothing really beats word of mouth advertising
from energetic parents and grandparents like you. To be
eligible for this incentive, print and distribute at least 100
flyers and provide us with a list of at least 10 different locations
where you have distributed flyers. (The flyer is available on our
website.) You must email us at least two weeks before the sale
with a list of the locations. Schools, churches, preschools,
gyms, hair salons, pediatricians’ offices, pediatric dentists’
offices, your workplace, and other places that women and children
frequently go are all great places to leave the flyer. Please
make sure that you get permission before posting our flyer. You will get credit for a
volunteer shift (which means more money if you are a consignor).
That also means you will be getting into an earlier presale. If
you are not consigning, you will be eligible to get into one of our
presales.
Poster/sign creation and posting
– Create and hang at least 10 posters at strategic places around
town before the sale. One poster per location and always ask
before placing a poster at any business. (Don't forget your
tape.) You must email us at least two weeks before the sale with a list of the businesses where you
have placed your posters. You will get credit for a
volunteer shift (which means more money if you are a consignor).
That also means you will be getting into an earlier presale. If
you are not consigning, you will be eligible to get into one of our
presales.
