Maria and Steve Hoffman Steve and I have always lived in Los Angeles County, yet always wanted to live in Ventura. Some day soon we hope we will. Steve is a computer network administrator, great dad and husband, avid surfer, and one of those really handy people who can fix almost anything. I, on the other hand, can fix almost nothing, but have a great knack for bargain shopping. I have been a stay-at-home mom of our boy/girl twins, Anthony and Sophia, for the past 3 1/2 years. Prior to Anthony and Sophia's arrival, I taught 4th grade for LAUSD at an inner-city school in Panorama City. I have always been interested in helping people, especially children. Also, for as long as I can remember I have enjoyed shopping. Of course, having two children at once is an education in and of itself. I slowly realized that I could not buy everything that I wanted for my children without a serious dent in our pocketbook. Luckily, I happened upon Kids Consignment 4 You and became a consignor, volunteer, and shopper at David Guerra's and Tyson Marquardt's wonderful sale. And so, a seasonal kids consignment devotee was born. Seasonal kids consignment sales are rare in Southern California, but very popular in most other areas, especially the South where people drive hundreds of miles and "camp out" to get the first crack at these sales. Apparently, these businesses are like household names. We're hoping that the same thing happens with Kids Consignment 4 You. With the economy as it is and the environment ever present in people's minds, now is the perfect time to support seasonal kids consignment businesses. More than ever people are looking for bargains for their families without skimping on quality. Also, people want to do their part to recycle and support environmental issues. What better way to save money and improve the environment, than consigning and shopping with Kids Consignment 4 You. We see Kids Consignment 4 You as a vehicle for environmental change. People want to do their part to recycle and leave a planet worth remembering to their children. As a consignor, your unwanted items will no longer occupy precious landfill space or increase the earth’s carbon emissions as they are incinerated. As a shopper, you are choosing to buy a used product rather than a new one, which, depending on the manufacturing process of the new product, significantly reduces the strain on the environment that the manufacturing of new goods causes. We can't wait to meet all of you - our consignors, volunteers, and shoppers! Thank you for supporting Kids Consignment 4 You in its' desire to do "the best for our kids and the environment...for less!" [ Back to Top ]
