Why Volunteer?
By
volunteering for just a few hours, you will be
eligible to attend our Special Private Presale, which means you get to shop for
quality merchandise before the general public. If you’re a seller
who volunteers at least one 2- or 3-hour shift, you will also get
an additional 5% profit for the items you sell, increasing what you
make on each item to 70%.
Read here to find
out about the incentives for each volunteer shift.
What’s Involved
in Volunteering?
As a worker you will be helping to check in products, arrange
products on the sales floor, sort clothing, tag merchandise and
general help with shoppers during sale hours.
It's not hard work but may involve some light lifting. Plus you get
to meet people, make a new friend or two, and, of course,
have fun in the process.
Rules for Volunteering:
- You need
to work at least one 3-hour shift.
- You don't
have to sell with us to volunteer at our sale.
- Anyone
can volunteer—moms, dads, grandparents, friends...and you DO NOT
have to be a seller to volunteer.
- To ensure
their safety, children are not allowed on site during your
volunteer shift as it can get pretty hectic preparing for the
sale.
-
Non-selling volunteers must volunteer on
May 10, 11, or 12, 2010
to be eligible to attend the Special Private Presale on
May
13, 2010.
- All
volunteers will receive a pass to attend the presale—this
pass cannot be transferred to anybody else. Our pass will be
good for you and your spouse or you and one grandparent.
Children are also allowed on your pass.
- If you
are unable to work your shift, please notify us as soon as
possible and attempt to find a replacement.
- You
can also get into the presale if you are able to provide a
service that we need: if you have connections with the media and
can get our sale covered on TV, the radio, in the newspaper, on
the Internet or
in a magazine for free. We also need people
to distribute flyers and post signs. Click here for more information
on bartering
positions.
